CARF International announced that Community Residences, Inc. (CRi) has been accredited for a period of three years for its Community Integration programs. The accreditation extends through June 30, 2023 and applies to CRi’s innovative day programs including Newbrook Day Program and Newbrook Integrated Community Services based in Fairfax County, VA and Loudoun County, VA.

Achieving CARF accreditation involves demonstrating conformance to the applicable CARF standards, evidenced through observable practices, verifiable results over time, and comprehensive supporting documentation. CRi has effectively shown a commitment to implementing the standards to the benefit of the individuals served, their families, and the staff members.

Upon hearing the announcement, CRi’s President and CEO, Arthur Ginsberg, said he is “excited to share this news with our community. CRi staff members work incredibly hard to deliver exceptional services to individuals with disabilities and we are honored to receive this recognition of our continued commitment to excellence, especially during a Public Health Emergency.”

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, enhancing the lives of persons served worldwide. The accreditation process applies CARF’s internationally recognized standards during a site survey conducted by peer surveyors. Accreditation, however, is an ongoing process that distinguishes a provider’s service delivery and signals the public that the provider is committed to continuous performance improvement, responsive to feedback, and accountable to the community and its other stakeholders. CARF accreditation promotes providers’ demonstration of value and Quality Across the Lifespan® of millions of persons served through application of rigorous organizational and program standards organized around the ASPIRE to Excellence® continuous quality improvement framework. CARF accreditation has been the recognized benchmark of quality health and human services for more than 50 years.
