Donations Options

CRi could not offer the high-quality, individualized care that it does without its supporters and advocates for people who often cannot speak for themselves. View the various ways you can donate to CRi below. Do not hesitate to reach out to the Development Team with any questions.

How to Give Online

Online

Donating through CRi’s general website form is one of the easiest ways to make a difference. The default setting on the form is a monthly gift, because recurring general operating support is invaluable for funding ongoing costs to care for community home residents and providing enrichment activities essential to well-being. But CRi is equally grateful for one-time donations; toggle to the “one-time” button to the left of “monthly” option.

Giving via Electronic Funds Transfer is also convenient. Contact CRi’s Director of Development & Communications via email or at (703) 842-2351.

Employer Matching

Employer MatchingDouble the impact of your gift to CRi by submitting a request with your employer to match your donation. Visit your employer’s matching gift page, often found within the HR portal or company intranet. If it accepts matching gift requests, sometimes you need CRi's donation acknowledgement of your personal gift for processing. Many employers match a donation dollar for dollar; some match above that amount!

It can sometimes take weeks for a matching gift to process, so please notify Development@mycri.org as soon as you have made a request. We will notify you once your employer has completed your request.

Donor-Advised Fund

DAF (Vers 2)
Claim a tax deduction when you contribute to your DAF and donate to CRi at the time that works best for you—even after your lifetime. A DAF can be your personal charitable giving account, where all charitable gift receipts are centralized without the added cost of establishing a private foundation. You can donate cash, stocks, real estate and more as well as make recurring gifts through a DAF.

To make a DAF grant to CRi, please contact CRi’s Director of Development & Communications via email or at (703) 842-2351.

IRA Rollover

IRA (Vers 3)Make a signficant gift to CRi while reducing the potential taxes on your retirement plan. If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make a tax-free, Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) through your IRA or other qualified retirement plan. The Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) age is 73, but the age for making a QCD is 70 ½—permiting tax-free donations before taxable RMDs are required several years later. (In 2033, the RMD is expected to increase to 75 for people born in 1960 or later.)

To make a QCD, contact CRi’s Director of Development & Communications via email or at (703) 842-2351.

The Jack Bruggeman Tuition Assistance Fund helps CRi employees advance their education and grow their careers in human services—strengthening the high‑quality care we provide every day.
