Full Event Recap

CRi's second annual Community Fest was an inclusive celebration that connected people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs with a broader community of families, direct support professionals, caregivers, and advocates. This year’s Community Fest will took place at Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA—centrally located in Northern Virginia and easy-to-access for members of our community traveling from the Richmond area to join the fun. Community Fest strives to provide a joyful and welcoming environment where all attendees participated, expressed themselves, and felt a sense of belonging. Community Fest 2026 was also an ideal way to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month, in recognition of the important role that recreational therapy can play in fostering health and wellness.
