CRi Executive Elected to Board of National Council for Mental Wellbeing

CRi is excited to announce President and CEO Arthur Ginsberg has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Mr. Ginsberg will serve on the Board as a representative of Region III, which includes the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Founded in 1969, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (National Council) is a 501©(3) membership organization that drives policy and social change on behalf of nearly 3,500 mental health and substance use treatment organizations and the more than 10 million children, adults and families they serve. The National Council advocates for policies to ensure equitable access to high-quality services and builds the capacity of mental health and substance use treatment organizations, while promoting greater understanding of mental wellbeing as a core component of comprehensive health and health care.

Despite overwhelming need, nearly 30 million people across the U.S. do not have access to comprehensive, high-quality, affordable mental health and substance use care when they need it. By promoting mental health, recovery from substance use challenges, and equitable access to high-quality care, the National Council strives to ensure that mental wellbeing is a reality for everyone.

The Board of Directors serve as representatives of the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and is committed to diversity, leadership, and promoting excellence in mental health and addictions treatment. It is composed entirely of elected volunteers from organizational staff and community board members across the 10 National Council regions covering the United States.

Mr. Ginsberg said, “Mental health is a key component for each person. I look forward to utilizing my years of professional experience to help support equitable access to necessary services while improving the mental wellbeing of others.”
