ANCOR Foundation Inducts Arthur M. Ginsberg into Legacy Leaders Circle

The ANCOR Foundation is thrilled to welcome Arthur M. Ginsberg into its Legacy Leaders Circle. Currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of CRi, Arthur has been a stalwart advocate for the disability community for decades. He served on the ANCOR’s Board of Directors, ANCOR’s Government Relations Committee and ANCOR’s Board of Representatives, representing the District of Columbia. Arthur has served as a local leader and has been an active advocate in D.C. and Virginia. He served as President of the D.C. Coalition of the Community Service Providers Board of Directors and currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Network of Private Providers.

As a member of ANCOR’s Board of Directors, Arthur helped oversee the search that resulted in the hiring of Barbara Merrill as Chief Executive Officer. He is a strong advocate of ANCOR engagement in the D.C. provider community.

Created in 2010. The ANCOR Foundation’s Legacy Leaders Circle recognizes long-time members of the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) that have made significant contributions to the association and its mission of providing high-quality, long-term supports and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). To date, 98 individuals have been inducted into the Legacy Leaders Circle.

Arthur was nominated alongside four other nominees. “Every year I’m humbled by the immense contributions of our nominees. Arthur, Jan, Angela, Cindy, and Richard have each directly impacted our field and helped to shape the person-centered supports that people with disabilities and their families have come to expect,” said Chris Stevenson, President of the ANCOR Foundation and chief executive officer at Cedar Lake in Louisville, KY. “Their robust leadership has set an example for the next generation, and their tireless commitment to their organizations has had a profound impact in the disability community at large.”

As part of efforts by the ANCOR Foundations to develop and recognize exceptional leadership, the Legacy Leaders Circle supports efforts to strengthen inclusive communities. The Legacy Leaders Circle has raised more than $50,000 to support programs like the Foundation’s Leadership Academy, a two-year intensive series of in-person and virtual trainings designed to cultivate the organizational leader skills of the fields next generation of visionaries.

More information about the 2020 Legacy Leaders Circle inductees, as well as the ANCOR Foundations other leadership development and recognition programming, can be found at www.ancorfoundation.org.
