For Ron George, CRi’s mission is not just an organizational statement, it is woven into the fabric of his life. From an early age, Ron understood the importance of care and dignity. His brother, along with two aunts, lived with intellectual disabilities, and his family embraced the responsibility of supporting them at home. Those experiences shaped Ron’s sense of purpose and instilled in him a belief that every individual deserves respect, opportunity, and a voice in society.
Much of Ron’s early career was spent in the sports and entertainment industry, where he honed skills in leadership, business development, and building relationships. The work was exciting and fast-paced, yet he often felt something was missing. “I wanted to know that my work mattered,” he reflects. “I wanted to contribute to something that made the world better.” That clarity came when he joined CRi in 2012. For the first time, Ron felt fully aligned with an organization whose mission mirrored the values he had carried all his life: compassion, empowerment, and the belief that, with support, anyone can achieve their dreams.
At CRi, Ron found not only meaningful work but also a community committed to amplifying the voices of those too often overlooked. “The people we care for have a voice,” Ron explains. “At CRi, we make sure that voice is heard.” This conviction continues to guide his leadership.
As Executive Vice President of Development and Chief Administrative Officer, Ron oversees a wide range of functions that keep CRi strong and sustainable, including Human Resources, IT, Property Management, Fundraising, and Communications. For him, these roles are more than operations - they are about ensuring that the organization has the structure, culture, and resources it needs to serve people well. By aligning CRi’s internal systems with its mission, he helps create opportunities for individuals to live with dignity and purpose.
Ron’s earlier professional experiences prepared him well for this work. As Chief Operating Officer of the NFL Alumni Association, he led teams, managed organizational transitions, and expanded opportunities through partnerships. Those same skills — strategic thinking, collaboration, and building bridges — now serve a mission in which he deeply believes. What once felt like a career path has now become a calling.
A graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Economics and a former Squadron Leader at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Ron brings discipline, integrity, and a servant-leadership mindset to everything he does. Most of all, he remains inspired by the people CRi serves, and his deep love for its mission is why he has worked at CRi for 13 years.
