Kris began his career during his college years working in an institutional setting, where he witnessed firsthand the lack of community integration for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). That experience inspired him to dedicate his career to creating opportunities for people to live meaningful lives within their communities. Determined to be part of the change, Kris joined CRi in February 2005, drawn to the organization’s mission of inclusion, empowerment, and respect for all individuals.
Starting as a Program Manager, Kris developed a deep understanding of person-centered support and the importance of individualized care. His compassion, clinical insight, and leadership quickly earned him opportunities to take on greater responsibility. As Clinical Director, he led interdisciplinary teams, enhanced clinical systems, and fostered collaboration across programs to strengthen the quality of services. Today, as Senior Director of Clinical Services, Kris provides strategic oversight of CRi’s Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs), ensuring that individuals with both developmental disabilities and mental health needs receive comprehensive, integrated care.
With more than 32 years of experience in the field, Kris finds tremendous fulfillment in seeing individuals thrive when given the right supports and opportunities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership (MSML). Throughout his career, Kris has remained deeply committed to CRi’s mission and values—championing dignity, compassion, and inclusion in every aspect of care and leadership.
