Celebrating 50 Years of CRi

CRi is thrilled to announce its first Gala and the Champions of the Year campaign!

Reflecting on CRi

Our inspiring journey began in 1975 with a bold vision from Arlington families, faith leaders, and local officials.

Originally founded as Arlington Community Residences, the CRi was a pioneer in the community integration movement, advocating for inclusive, community-based alternatives to institutional care for individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities.

Over the years, CRi has grown far beyond its Arlington roots—expanding services across Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Maryland. This growth has included not only residential support but also case management, youth services, programs for adults with developmental disabilities, and critical outreach for individuals experiencing homelessness.

We wish to honor these decades of commitment to dignity, inclusion, and community for all by hosting two major upcoming events!

CRi's Champions of the Year

In celebration of our 50th Anniversary, CRi is proud to launch the Champions of the Year philanthropic campaign! This 12-week initiative brings together dedicated community members—like you—to raise both awareness and vital funds to support those we serve.

50th Anniversary Gala

CRi's Anniversary Gala will be hosted on Saturday 27, 2025 at the Capital One Hall in Tysons, VA. Join hundreds of community leaders & like-minded visionaries for an elegant evening of philanthropy, recognition, appreciation and celebration.
